Use invite links for self-serve applications

Invite links are designed for higher-volume or more open workflows. You can share the same link in job ads, recruiter emails, or an ATS, and each candidate still gets their own private workspace after signing up.

How invite links work

  • You generate one link for a specific assignment.
  • Candidates open that link and sign up with their own email address.
  • CodeSubmit creates a separate private repo or workspace for each candidate.
  • You can disable the link later when the role closes.

Recommended setup

  1. Create the link from the assignment's invite-link flow.
  2. Optionally add due days so the due date is calculated from when the candidate begins.
  3. Optionally add a time limit so the timer starts only when the candidate starts the assignment.
  4. Copy the link and distribute it anywhere you want candidates to self-enroll.

Best use cases

  • Career page applications
  • Recruiter outreach with the same assessment for many candidates
  • ATS-driven campaigns where you want one controlled entry point

Permissions to know about

Like individual invites, invite-link creation is not available to users with the Reviewer role.
